(CNN) — “Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice” takes Henry Cavill’s Superman to new places, though one thing stays a same: a hero’s iconic suit.
On Thursday, Warner Bros. shared a initial picture of Cavill matched adult as Superman, with a “S” on his chest resolutely in place as he stares by a grim-looking rain.
The print comes only a few days after Cavill was speckled on a set of “Batman v Superman” dressed as Superman’s alter-ego, Clark Kent.
“The some-more time we spend with Henry, a some-more he’s Superman to me,” executive Zack Snyder told USA Today of a British actor, who finished his entrance as a high-flying favourite in 2013′s “Man of Steel.”
Now, with a “Man of Steel” supplement “Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice,” Cavill and Snyder are fervent to widen a Kryptonian’s identity, examining who he is as a guardian of Metropolis and as an bland gent. He’ll still be operative with Lois Lane (Amy Adams) and Perry White (Laurence Fishburne) during a Daily Planet, though he’ll also find himself relocating into Gotham City, where Lex Luthor (Jesse Eisenberg) presents a threat.
“We’ve both combined this guy, and we can pull him around a small bit,” Snyder said.
But will it be Ben Affleck’s Batman doing a pushing? After all, this will be a initial time that Batman and Superman are on a large shade together.
Snyder wouldn’t say, though he did indicate out that a film title’s spelling is intentional. Using a “v” instead of a “vs” was “to keep it from being a true ‘versus’ movie, even in a many pointed way,” he told a paper. “It’s never unequivocally been finished and it’s kinda cool.”
“Dawn of Justice” also brings in a series of other characters, including Wonder Woman (Gal Gadot) and Cyborg (Ray Fisher). As for Affleck’s Batman, Snyder told a paper fans should design a weary, seasoned take on a character. “It’s cooler to see a crusty aged Batman violence a slime out of guys,” Snyder said.
“Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice” is now in production, and scheduled for a May 6, 2016 release.
