LONDON—Oil prices extended their gains Tuesday on expectations that a U.S. oil outlay that has fueled a tellurian oversupply of wanton might shortly start falling.
Crude oil has halved in value given final summer on a behind of surging supply and temperate demand. But prices have been relocating mostly laterally this year on signs of imminent prolongation cuts as companies have responded to a low prices with vast spending reductions.
